This is the first year for this event.  Held my a new chapter of Klub VW (the Sunshine Coast Chapter) at the famous tourist attraction - the Big Pineapple at Nambour.  The event was well supported by their club members and sponsors, however the threatening clouds and the forcast of rain and showers kept some of the 'show only' crowd away.  A shame as it was well worth attending!

There was a cruise organised from a shopping centre just north of Brisbane to the event so many of us 'southerners' met here and became bart of the cruise.  I found that the cruise was way too slow (to the point of being dangerous - 65km/h in a 110km/h zone is asking for trouble), and the cars were bunching up causing problems at on and off ramps along the highway, so rather than stay with the cruise and risk an accident, I went ahead to the big pineapple and filmed them arriving.

There was a number of trophies on offer, which were judged by the public, and these were handed out to the winners just after lunch.  Throughout the day raffle prizes were drawn however I was not sucessful in winning anything this time!
