Toowoomba
Swap 2004 |
||
| This year the Toowoomba Swap was held at the Toowoomba Show grounds, where it has been held for the last two years. Huge turn out (as usual), however I have to say the layout of the sites at this swap left a lot to be desired. An early start (4:30am) was in order to arrive as soon as possible after sunrise. Unfortunatly a number of people were heard to say that the general quality of items being sold at the swap was well below average (we most people wern't that polite!). Come on - nobody wants a rusty, bent hubcap or bumper, do us a favour and bring the good stuff, he rest of it can go to the dump! We found a couple of VW's at the swap. Check out the two on the same trailer - the Kombi ute sold for $300 (actually it was only the front half of the Kombi Ute, the rest had rusted away! The green bug was in the 'vehicles for sale' section for $7500(!) complete with incorrect rear lid, lights and plenty of rust - get real!
