Klubfest Bayside is hosted by the Bayside chapter of Klub VW.  This year they were forced to find a new location to hold their show as the previous years location was now a construction site!  They chose a location that is home to a dog racing track (sorry I don't recall the name of the track or the name of the park in which the show was held).  A weeks worth of rain made the organisers a little nervous, but on Sunday the sun was out in force...and so were the VW's.

The rain had turned part of the park into mud, so the arrangement of the cars and swap had to be changed to suit, however there were a couple of off-roaders who were happy to see the mud and made full use of it!  There were also many shiney vehicles from all over the southe east corner of Queensland and Northern New South Wales.  It didn't matter what your interest was, there was somethng there for you.  The swap meet was also packed and a number of people walked away with bargains.  Again, I walked away empty handed due to a lack of cash and a shed full of stuff that I haven't yet used.

The public were allowed to vote to their favourite vehicles in each class and due to this there were some first time winners in some of the catagories.  Well done to everyone who showed their cars, and well done to the organisers for pulling off a successful and enjoyable show considering the weather conditions leading up to the day.
